Terms of Use

These terms cover cliptopsd.com — a service that converts Clip Studio Paint .clip files into Photoshop .psd/.psb files. They are written to be read, so they are specific about what this service does and does not do. Last updated: 29 July 2026.

1. What the service does

ClipToPsd converts a .clip file you upload into a Photoshop file and gives you a download link. The conversion aims for the closest possible match to what Clip Studio Paint itself would export, but it is not guaranteed to be identical. Clip Studio has features Photoshop has no equivalent for; where that happens the conversion preserves the image and reports the difference. The known list is published at /docs and is part of these terms by reference.

Check the result before you rely on it. Especially before delivering to a client, flattening, or deleting your original .clip.

2. Your files stay yours

You keep every right in the files you upload and in the files you download. We claim no ownership, no licence to use, display, publish or train on your artwork, and we do not transfer any rights to anyone.

Uploading a file is not permission to use it. The only thing we do with your file is convert it.

3. What we store, and for how long

We do not sell data, and we do not share your files with third parties.

4. Accounts are optional

The service works without an account. If you create one, you give an email address, which we use to verify the account, to let you sign in and to recover access. Ask and your account and its history are deleted.

5. Free use, limits and credits

Free use is limited per day. The limits exist to keep the service available, not to upsell you; they are shown in the interface, and they change as capacity changes.

Two rules worth knowing before you click:

A conversion that fails on our side is refunded.

6. What you may not upload

Files you do not have the right to convert. Files built to attack the service rather than to be converted. Anything unlawful where you are.

Automated or bulk use beyond the published limits needs to be arranged first — not because of pricing, but because a converter sized for one artist and one sized for a studio pipeline are different systems.

7. Availability

This service is offered as it is, without a service-level guarantee. Conversions can fail, the service can be down for maintenance, and a queue can be long. Failed conversions do not consume your daily limit.

8. No warranty, and the limit of what we owe

The conversion is provided without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for lost work, missed deadlines, or damage arising from differences between the converted file and your original — which is exactly why the report exists and why you should check the result before relying on it.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to what you paid for the conversion in question.

Keep your .clip originals. They are the source; a converted file is a copy.

9. Trademarks and independence

Clip Studio Paint is a product and trademark of CELSYS, Inc. Photoshop, PSD and PSB are products and trademarks of Adobe Inc. ClipToPsd is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CELSYS or Adobe. Those names are used only to say what this service reads and writes.

The .clip file you upload is your document. This service is a tool for reading your own files in another program.

10. Changes

These terms change when the service changes. The date at the top says when. A change that affects how your files are stored or how long they are kept will be announced in the interface, not only here.
